ND House Votes To Override Health Insurance Veto

(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota House is moving to override Governor Doug Burgum’s veto on a health insurance related bill. Lawmakers voted unanimously to override the veto of a bill that seeks to create freedom of choice in health care provider decisions. The bill would prevent insurance companies from blocking an individual’s choice of provider who is within a person’s coverage area and is qualified to oversee a person’s health plan. The bill is headed to the Senate for another vote.
