(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota is on the hook for Senator Janne Myrdal’s legal fees. Lawmakers voted 10-to-4 yesterday to reimburse Myrdal for the 40-thousand dollars she spent defending herself after a man sued her for blocking him on Facebook. Mitchell Sanderson of Park River had sued the Republican senator claiming she violated his First Amendment rights. Lower courts tossed the case out and the state Supreme Court dismissed the lawsuit a week ago today.
