(Bismarck, ND) — Political leaders in North Dakota are reacting to the death of former President Jimmy Carter. North Dakota Democratic-NPL Chair Adam Goldwyn said Carter “represents the American Dream,” calling his rise from a “peanut farmer from rural Georgia” to become the 39th president “a testament to our democracy.” Senator Kevin Cramer posted on X that Carter’s life was “a life well lived” and regardless of whether or not you agreed with his politics, Carter’s “legacy of service is unmatched.” Carter died Sunday in his hometown of Plains, Georgia at the age of 100.
