ND Sheriff Backs Window Tint Bill

(Bismarck, ND) — A Stutsman County Sheriff is backing a bill to loosen a window tint law. Drivers in the state who are stopped for having tints too dark can receive a 20-dollar ticket, with things being discussed about going away under House Bill 1340. The bill would allow drivers to pick a darker tint on the front and passenger side windows. Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser said he likes the idea, going on to add he doesn’t even write tickets for the offense. If the bill passes, that doesn’t apply to a driver’s windshield.
