ND Supreme Court Upholds Conviction In 2022 Minot Murder

(Minot, ND) — The North Dakota Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of a man serving life in prison for a deadly 2022 shooting in Minot. Last June, Mathew Anderson was convicted of murder, and Regina Goodale was convicted of accomplice to murder in a joint trial for the death of Wade Goodale. Anderson contended the court should not have denied a “rule 29” motion for acquittal and argued there was insufficient evidence to convict, but the state Supreme Court disagreed. The high court has yet to file a ruling on Regina Goodale’s appeal. She appealed the jury instructions, evidence, joint trial, and sentencing.
