NDGF Warns About Zebra Mussels

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota Game and Fish officials are reminding boaters to look out for zebra mussels as part of Aquatic Nuisance Species Awareness Week. Zebra mussels are an invasive species that attach themselves to boats and grow rapidly once in lakes, which can block pipelines and damage the local ecosystem. N-D-G-F says you should thoroughly clean, drain, and dry your boat before you take it out on the water to prevent the mussels from spreading.
