New Area Of Critical Minerals Discovered In North Dakota

(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Geological Survey has found a new area of critical minerals in the state’s Badlands region. This is the second such discovery this year, as a similar zone of minerals was discovered in the same area just three months prior. Critical minerals include nickel, copper, lithium and others, and are important in multiple industries, ranging from healthcare to electric vehicles and clean energy technology. North Dakota officials are hoping the mineral deposits can be utilized to boost the state’s economy, and further a growing clean energy industry.
