New Evidence In Kennedy Trial Prompts Jury Dismissal

(Ward Co., ND) — The jury in the murder trial of Kamauri Kennedy in Ward County has been dismissed. Judge Gary Lee said yesterday there had been a roadblock in the proceedings with late evidence coming to light. The judge said it could take a month or more before the investigation into the new evidence is complete. The evidence involves four DNA samples collected in or near a burned vehicle where the victim’s body was found.
