New North Dakota Laws Protect Women’s Healthcare

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota now has several new laws protecting the rights of pregnant women in the wake of a federal abortion ruling. The U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs ruling overturned Roe v. Wade back in June of last year. With the end of the session this week, the State Legislature sent nearly a dozen bills to the governor’s desk deemed “pro-woman, pro-child, and pro-family.” Governor Doug Burgum signed most all of the bills providing more medical care and monetary assistance to families in need.
