New North Dakota Republican Party Chair Elected

(Bismarck, ND) — Sandi Sanford has been elected as North Dakota’s new Republican Party Chair. The former second lady is the wife of former Lt. Gov. Brent Sanford. Sandi Sanford has been active in both state and federal politics for the past 26 years, and is also a farm operator and a small business owner. She ran on a platform of “uniting the party and supporting the values espoused in the party’s platform”, defeating incumbent party Chairman Perrie Schafer 29 to 28 on Friday.
