New Streetlights Planned For Minot

(Minot, ND) — The future looks brighter for Minot after officials approved a plan to replace dozens of streetlight bulbs. The city council has voted to use a 76-thousand-dollar federal block grant to replace up to 80 high pressure sodium bulbs with energy efficient LED bulbs. The LED bulbs use about 50-percent less energy. The funding was provided by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program.
