New Town Man Arrested After Assaulting Highway Patrol Officer

(Medina, ND) — A man from New Town is under arrest after fighting with multiple law enforcement officials. North Dakota Highway Patrol says that a car was driving recklessly on Interstate 94 when the driver was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. During his arrest, the suspect attacked the trooper, when a Foster County sheriff arrived. The man then assaulted him, before several other officials got involved. The suspect was then taken into custody, and is currently being held at the Stutsman County Jail.
