Nikki Sue Etzel Case Goes Before ND Supreme Court

(Bismarck, ND) — Nikki Sue Entzel’s murder case went before the North Dakota Supreme Court on Tuesday. A Burleigh County jury found Entzel guilty of conspiracy, murder, arson, and tampering with evidence last year in the death of her husband Chad Entzel, and a judge sentenced her to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Her lawyer now says the conspiracy to commit murder charge should be thrown out, because there’s insufficient evidence to prove the murder was planned. He insists that Mrs. Entzel and co-conspirator Earl Howard were planning to burn the house for insurance money and run away.
