(Fargo, ND) — Officials say they have yet to discover a motive behind the shooting that left a Fargo police officer dead. The shooting happened Friday afternoon, when a gunman opened fire on firefighters and police responding to a car accident. In addition to the officer who was killed, several other people were injured. While no apparent motive has been ascertained, Fargo Police Chief David Zibolski say he’s confident that authorities would eventually determine the motive. The shooting remains under investigation by the State Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the FBI.
