No Injuries After Screeners Detect Handgun During Minot Airport Screening Process

(Minot, ND) — No injuries are reported after a passenger tried to bring a loaded handgun onto a plane last week at Minot International Airport. Officials say federal TSA personnel spotted the pistol during the X-ray luggage-screening process, at which point they called Minot Police. It was not immediately clear whether the discovery prompted an arrest or charges. Authorities say Tuesday’s incident marked the third detection of a firearm at the airport this year.
