(Jamestown, ND) — Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that happened early Sunday morning at the University of Jamestown student center. According to the University’s website, no injuries were reported and the fire was “quickly contained to the kitchen and dining area.” University administrators said there was no damage to the campus bookstore or other offices in the Badal Nafus Student Center, but added that the building “will likely be out of use for some time.” Officials expressed gratitude to Jamestown Public Schools for allowing the University to use their kitchen facilities to prepare meals. University of Jamestown students will have their meals at served at Harold Newman Arena “over the next few days.”
