North Dakota Domestic Violence Organizations Facing Budget Cuts

(Bismarck, ND) — Organizations in North Dakota that offer help to victims of domestic violence and abuse are preparing for major budget cuts. While advocacy groups throughout the state received about five-million dollars last year, they received only about three-and-a-half-million this year, and there’s another cut scheduled for next year. The staff at Bismarck’s Abused Adult Resource Center said the cuts will impact the programs they provide, along with the number of employees they’re able to hire.
