(Bismarck, ND) — The chair of North Dakota’s ethics commission is calling it quits. Paul Richard has announced his decision to step down at the end of August, saying the commission has accomplished what it set out to do; adopt procedures, rules, and processes. Voters approved a measure creating the five-person commission five years ago, and Richard was one of the initial members. Governor Burgum along with the Senate majority and minority leaders will appoint his successor.
