North Dakota Forensic Examiner Fired Amid Threat Allegations

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota’s most recent state forensic examiner has been fired following allegations that she made threats of violence toward co-workers. Officials say Dr. Barrie Miller allegedly made “homicidal comments” last week when she learned she would be fired soon. Police say her co-workers also told them that on previous occasions, Miller reportedly talked about running over employees in the parking lot and made allusions to potentially committing a murder-suicide. She had been a state medical examiner since 2020, and was terminated without further incident.
