(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota House is advancing revisions to the state’s “heartbeat” abortion ban. A House panel amended the Senate’s bill to clarify the language of a 2013 trigger law banning virtually all abortions that went into effect after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The Red River Women’s Clinic, previously located in Fargo, is challenging the trigger law, leading a judge to enforce an injunction on the ban while the matter goes through the courts.
