North Dakota Updating “Move Over Law”

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota is updating the state’s “Move Over Law”. The law was enacted in 2001 to keep emergency responders safe while pulled over on the side of the road. The law has now been expanded to all vehicles displaying emergency flashing lights. Drivers who fail to move over risk a 50-dollar fine and could have two points added to their driving record.
