Nuclear Symposium Held At Minot Air Force Base

(Minot, ND) — A nuclear symposium was held Tuesday at Minot Air Force Base. High-ranking Air Force officials updated the community on major upgrades to the defense systems in and around the base, along with growing threats overseas. Lieutenant General Michael Lutton talked about the Sentinel Program, which includes billions of dollars worth of upgrades to all 150 launch facilities in North Dakota. Governor Doug Burgum and Representative Kelly Armstrong also addressed the symposium, while Representative Kevin Cramer attended via video call from Washington, DC.
