(Bismarck, ND) — The National Weather Service says the Turtle Mountains got the most snow in this week’s blizzard. The snow totals are in for North Dakota’s first winter storm of the season, and they show Lake Metigoshe State Park got a whopping 14 inches of snow. Minot recorded five inches, Harvey saw four inches of snow and Velva got about three inches. The storm also produced some fierce winds, with the strongest being a 67-mile-per-hour gust recorded near Mott. The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it responded to over 100 crashes during the storm.
