Officer-Involved Shooting Under Investigation in Bismarck

(Bismarck, ND) — Bismarck Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting Thursday afternoon in North Bismarck. Officers first responded to a call around 12:45 p.m. about a man who pulled a gun on a resident in the 4100 block of Arlington Drive. Police say the two men involved in the incident knew each other.

Officers couldn’t find the man who pulled the gun at the residence, but a couple of hours later, police were told the 19 year old was at the U-Haul storage center near Interstate Loop. At about 2:30 p.m., the man left the facility carrying a weapon.

The 19-year old suspect was shot by a Bismarck police officer and was taken to a hospital, where his condition is unknown.

The officer who shot the suspect was placed on administrative leave, pending an investigation by the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
