Opioid Settlement Allocation Approved By Grand Forks County Commission

(Grand Forks, ND) — The allocation of 50-thousand dollars of opioid settlement funds has been approved by the Grand Forks County Commission. The county received 689-thousand dollars as a result of litigation against opioid manufacturers and distributors. During a meeting on Tuesday, it was decided that the remediation funds would be allocated to the Public Health Department for the rest of 2023. According to county opioid response project coordinator Michael Dulitz, using the money to fund medication for addiction treatment at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center is a major priority.
