Paddlefish Season Starts Wednesday

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota’s paddlefish snagging season begins on Wednesday. Snagging is a specific type of fishing that uses a sharp hook to “snag” the fish, rather than getting it to swallow the hook with bait. Snagging is legal in all areas of the Yellowstone River in northwestern North Dakota, and in much of the area of the Missouri River west of the U.S. Highway 85 bridge. The season continues through May 21st, and you can find more information at gf-dot-nd-dot-gov.
