(Fargo, ND) — The head of a parent’s group is speaking out against Fargo Public Schools’ stance on the state’s new transgender laws. Founder of “Let Parents Decide That” Cassie Schmidt said any adult facilitating keeping secrets from their parents is a “predator.” Her comments to the local media were in direct response to the Fargo Schools superintendent. Dr. Rupak Gandhi recently stated that the district would not comply with state law requiring school officials not withhold information regarding a child’s sexual identity to their parents.
