People In Late 70s Or Older Barred From Running For ND Congressional Seat

(Bismarck, ND) — People in their late 70s or older can no longer run for North Dakota’s lone congressional seat after a ballot measure was approved by voters Tuesday. Political analysts expect the new law to face several constitutional challenges, but there’s also a question as to whether any elderly candidates will challenge the measure. The initiative prevents someone from running or serving in the U.S. House or Senate if they turn 81 during their term.
