(Minot, ND) — Phase one of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project in Minot has begun. Crews at Roosevelt Park are currently removing trees and roots from the banks of the river, which can undermine levies and flood walls. The park will be closed until March 8th, and animals at the zoo will be moved to a different section of the park. Officials say the park’s pickleball courts will remain accessible.
