(Bismarck, ND) — Former North Dakota state senator Ray Homberg heads back to court on August 8th for a plea hearing. The hearing comes after Holmberg signed an agreement to plead guilty to a charge of traveling overseas with the intent to sexually assault children. Holmberg admitted to repeatedly traveling from North Dakota to the Czech Republic between 2011 and 2016 to sexually abuse children. Under the agreement, prosecutors have agreed to recommend Holmberg serve only 3 to 4 years in prison.
