(Bismarck, ND) — A Bismarck police officer was allegedly assaulted while breaking up a fight at a city park. Police responded to a report of two men fighting at Sons of Norway Park on Tuesday night, finding Kenneth Bullhead and Germain Rucker in the middle of a brawl when they arrived. After both men were detained, Bullhead refused to get into a patrol car, and reportedly kicked an officer in the chest. The officers subdued Bullhead and placed him in a hobble, which is a device that binds a suspect’s wrists and ankles. The officer wasn’t injured, and Bullhead has been charged with felony simple assault on a peace officer.
