Police Respond To Kids Playing On River Ice In Bismarck

(Bismarck, ND) — Authorities responded to the Memorial Bridge over the Missouri River in Bismarck Sunday on reports of kids playing on river ice. Police and fire crews were called to the scene twice for two different groups of kids; the first at 3:30 p.m. and the second at 6:30 p.m. The second group hid from officers when they arrived. While playing on river ice isn’t illegal, police warn that it is extremely dangerous. Thankfully, everyone made it off the ice safely.
