Police Shoot, Kill Armed Suspect Hours Before Dawn Today Outside Jamestown Bar

(Jamestown, ND) — Police and The North Dakota BCI are investigating an, officer-involved shooting in Jamestown that left a local man dead. Department sources say officers were called to the scene outside Fred’s Den on 1st Avenue South and found the suspect firing rounds at the bar. Police say when the suspect refused repeated commands to drop the firearm, officers opened fire, disabling the suspect. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died. No other injuries were reported. A witness to the the shooting  says we have to be grateful that our police and officials responded as quickly as they did because things could have gotten worse.
