(Grand Forks, ND) — The Grand Forks City Council is reviewing the mayor’s proposed 2024 budget which is 70-million-dollars higher than 2023. Mayor Brandon Bochenski said Monday that public safety and salary increases are priorities this year. Under the mayor’s proposal all city employees would receive up to a two-and-a-half-percent raise per year depending on experience and a two-percent increase for cost of living. The employer contributions to the pension plan and insurance benefits would also increase. The city council meets next on August 7th.
