Red River Above Moderate Flood Stage

(Grand Forks, ND) — The Red River in Grand Forks is hovering about a foot above the moderate flood stage of 40 feet. Rain is forecast for later in the week but the National Weather Service doesn’t expect a big change in river levels. Major flood stage begins at 46 feet in Grand Forks. North of Grand Forks the Red River has caused minor flooding in Pembina and the river’s crest is not expected until later this week or early next week.
