(Fargo, ND) — One of three men charged in the murder of Phillip Bergquist last fall is headed to prison. Thirty-nine-year-old George Ortiz pleaded guilty to the October 29th slaying in Cass County Court yesterday and was immediately sentenced to 55-years in prison. Joseph Poitra and David Reyneros Junior are both charged in connection to the murder and are set to go on trial next week. Bergquist was stabbed and his body was found in the Red River near Wildflower Park the day after he was murdered.
