(Bismarck, ND) — Williston lawmaker Nico Rios has been removed from the interim Judiciary Committee. His removal follows an incident that happened last December, when Rios went a hateful, drunken tirade directed at police officers when they arrested him for DUI. House Majority Leader Mike Lefor said Rios’ comments were inappropriate for a committee that routinely takes testimony from law enforcement. State GOP leaders have called for his resignation, but Rios has yet to do so.
