(Fargo, ND) — The Mountain West Conference is reportedly interested in having North Dakota State join the league as a football-only member. The Action Network reports the conference is considering the Bison after Northern Illinois indicated it’s likely going to stay in the Mid-American Conference. The Mountain West is part of the Football Bowl Subdivision and would be a level up in competition for NDSU, which has won nine FCS championships.
