(Grand Forks, ND) — Grand Forks Air Force Base was placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon after a gunshot was reported. Base officials say security officers performed a thorough sweep of the area, but were unable to find the source of the sound. The gunshot was reportedly heard near the medical clinic and base exchange around 1 p.m., and the lockdown was lifted about three-and-a-half hours later.
