Retiring Lynn Helms Gives Final Oil Industry Report, Oil And Gas Numbers Up Slightly

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources Director Lynn Helms gave his final oil industry progress report on Friday. He said oil production in April was up one-percent from March, while natural gas production climbed by three-percent. Helms said we’re still coming out of winter, and he expects stronger production numbers from May. He’s retiring this week after serving as director for nearly 30 years.
