Roosevelt Park Zoo Welcomes New Tiger

(Minot, ND) — Minot’s The Roosevelt Park Zoo has announced the arrival of a new tiger. His name is Finn, and he’s a seven-year-old Amur Tiger, an endangered species of tiger native to eastern Russia and parts of East Asia. Finn was born at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska back in 2016 before he was moved to the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2018. He arrived in Minot on November 22nd. Zoo officials say Finn will be paired with resident tiger Zoya, in hopes they will breed.
