(Sawyer, ND) — The owner of Whiskey Bandits Bar in Sawyer has been sentenced for serving underage drinkers. Cynthia Ellis pleaded guilty to allowing underage drinking in her bar on Wednesday, and was given a one-year suspended sentence with one year of unsupervised probation. Police say at least 15 people under the age of 21 drank at the bar. The bar has been closed since the underage drinking was discovered, and its liquor license has been suspended. There’s no word on if it will re-open.
