Sawyer Bridge Ribbon Cutting Held

(Sawyer, ND) — A ribbon cutting has been held to celebrate the completion of a new bridge in Sawyer. The ceremony took place on Monday, though the bridge has been open to traffic since late last year. The new bridge over the Mouse River is designed to lessen the impact of floods like the one that happened in 2011, when the bridge caused water to back up. A flood protection plan was launched the following year, and the new bridge project was authorized in 2018.
