(Minot, ND) — Minot Representative Scott Louser is running for a seat on the Minot Public School board. Louser says if elected, he wouldn’t be the only legislator in the state who’s also serving on a school board. While following Minot Public School’s discussions on budget cuts, he said he wanted to get more involved as a parent with kids in the district. Louser has drafted a bill to give private schools a chance to get 80-percent in public funding per student. He plans to introduce the bill during the next legislative session.
