Second Suspect Sentenced In Red River Slaying

(Fargo, ND) — Another suspect charged in the murder of Phillip Bergquist last fall is sentenced. Yesterday, 24-year-old David Reyneros Junior, who was charged with tampering with evidence, was sentenced to 18-months of supervised probation after pleading guilty in Cass County Court. Tuesday, 39-year-old George Ortiz pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 55-years in prison. Twenty-nine-year-old Joseph Poitra is charged with accomplice to murder in the October 29th slaying of Bergquist along the Red River.
