Security And Mental Health Grants Divvied Among State School Districts

(Fargo, ND) — More than a dozen North Dakota schools are splitting nearly six-million dollars in federal grant money. The cash will be used for mental health services and school security. Part of the allocation process included factoring the number of students living in poverty in districts, chronic absenteeism rates, and high rates of students considered “disengaged.” Among the 13 districts receiving grant money, Dickinson is getting the most – more than one-point-one million dollars.
