Senate Committee Approves Roosevelt Presidential Library Legislation

(Undated) — Senator John Hoeven is advancing legislation tied to the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. The bipartisan bill would authorize the Department of the Interior to provide grants to establish the library and its displays. It would also require the library’s foundation to match each federal grant awarded 2-to-1. The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee approved the bill Tuesday. Hoeven says the presidential library will be a tremendous asset to western North Dakota. The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library is scheduled to open in 2026 in Medora.
