Small Town Mayor Resigns

(Taylor, ND) — The mayor of Taylor, North Dakota has abruptly resigned following a disagreement over a lease. The resignation reportedly stemmed from the Taylor Trap Club seeking a 30-year lease renewal, and the Taylor city council being given only an hour to review the proposal. As a result of the conflict, Mayor Emory Vaagen reportedly issued an ultimatum and then resigned with the lease failed to pass. Local officials say a new mayor will by appointed on August 14th.
