Standoff Suspect Pleads Guilty

(Bismarck, ND) — A wanted Bismarck man who was arrested after a five-hour standoff has pleaded guilty to several charges. Last week, Nicholas Wessels kicked in the door to an apartment that did not belong to him, and barricaded himself inside for hours before he was taken into custody. Leading up to the incident, he was wanted for domestic violence, reckless endangerment, and driving on a suspended license. Wessels pleaded guilty to the charges, and has been sentenced to about six months in jail.
