State Challenging Federal Management Changes

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota officials are raising concerns over proposed changes to how the feds administer public land in the state. This week, Governor Doug Burgum’s office and other state offices submitted public comments to the U.S. Bureau of Land Management on behalf of North Dakota. Among the primary concerns is the withdrawal of public lands from mineral development. Governor Burgum and the state says BLM has no authority to impose such sweeping restrictions on state or private lands.
